1. Bathe the dog in a flea shampoo.
2. Use a flea comb to remove fleas and flea eggs from the dogs fur.
3. Vacuum the house and furniture to remove fleas from the environment.
4. Apply a flea treatment product to the dog, such as a spot-on treatment, oral medication, shampoo, or powder.
5. Wash all bedding, blankets, and other fabric items the dog has been in contact with in hot water.
6. Place flea traps around the house to catch any remaining fleas.
